Many people who are going through the early stages of the awakening process are no longer certain what their outer purpose is. What drives the world no longer drives them. Seeing the madness of our civilization so clearly, they may feel somewhat alienated from the culture around them. Some feel that they inhabit a no-man's-land between two worlds. They are no longer run by the ego, yet the arising awareness has not yet become fully integrated into their lives.

How to Make Your Orbit Successful...

In the world of excellence there is a profound relationship to coaching.

Current Orbiteers were asked, "What do you think someone needs or needs to know to Orbit successfully?"

Listening

Are you coachable? Are you willing to be coached? If not, what's this for?

Are you ready to listen?... to yourself, to your own inner urgings, and allow that to come out?

You have to be ready to take seriously what he has to say, and if you're not ready, you have to be ready to be in confrontation until you're ready. It's confrontation or it's coaching. It's a transformative conversation.

A desire for fulfillment

Do you recognize there is a lacking, that there is something you're not satisfied with? Do you have a passion for doing something you're not doing?

I look for cold anger... I'm not talking about madness or hatred, but the old sense of the word. A sense of loss or grief over what could have been.

I have a friend who says, "I can't seem to find my passion..." I would ask her, "Are you really ready to do that?" If you are, then a coach like him would be great. If you're not ready to move beyond where you are, it would be a waste of time. If you're really ready to explore who you are, then this is the guy for you.

A commitment to mastery of self

A yearning to practice your life as a prayer form.

Are you willing to let go of the familiar?

Patience. Discipline. Responsibility. He's teaching you how to be responsible for who you are.

I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element. It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous. I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized. If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.

- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
